Japan off the beaten path – Nature, Animals & traditional Culture (Early October for 9 days)

EXPEDITION HOKKAIDO: Travel companion for wildlife road trip in Japan's wild north sought! Hello! I (male, 54) am looking for a nature-loving travel companion for a real adventure off the beaten path. The route will be covered by rental car, is planned but absolutely flexible. As accommodation, we are aiming for first-class nature resorts or quaint log cabins (single rooms, everyone for themselves). We will experience Hokkaido in the epic autumn color rush completely independently. The focus: Freedom & Photography! We will photograph red-crowned cranes, brown bears in Shiretoko, red foxes up close on the beach of the Notsuke Peninsula, and hike at 1,600 m between volcanic craters searching for rare pikas. Do you (easy-going, nature-loving, hobby photographer welcome) fit in? We will share the costs for the rental car fairly, everyone books/pays for their own accommodation and flights.
